This week I have been teaching a children's art class, 'Sculptures of the Rainforest' at Hampstead School of Art in North London.
During this project they designed and then made clay masks. They were getting a good understanding about how to create a three-diemensional element from a 2D surface.
Here is a lovely bird mask. The 6 yr old that made this one was very creative with the feathery clay pieces.
