Baby textiles: changing matt

I was bored of the textiles available for baby stuff that I decided to take matters into my own hands! My first project was to re-cover Little O's changing matt. I found some lovely strong contrast, patterned oil cloth from trusty John Lewis and used the left overs to make a nappy bag (big enough for about 4 nappies, cream, cotton wool, baby wipes etc and travel changing matt. Apparently babies can only see strong contrasts when they are first born and love patterns so this stuff is perfect but it does beg the question then why all baby things aren't made with this in mind!
